While one symptom of ADHD is a feeling of restlessness, another may be fatigue, which may be confusing. But the reason for this could be the constant hyperactivity, a constant effort to focus, as well as sleep concerns that tend to go hand in hand with ADHD. A study published in the NIH says that ‘adults with ADHD experience greater fatigue than the HC (healthy controls). Adults with CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) and ADHD share many trans-diagnostic clinical characteristics, including difficulties with low mood, anxiety, and reduced self-efficacy, which impact upon their overall functioning.’ Moreover, fatigue can also worsen attention difficulties.
