One of the most notable symptoms of shingles are the fluid-filled blisters that occur after the itchiness and red rashes appear. They tend to look like chicken pox blisters, but rather than being spread out like they are with chicken pox, they are clustered together in groups. These blisters are usually extremely painful, occurring on just one side of the body or the face. They tend to crust over after seven to 10 days, and clear up within two to four weeks afterwards as well. If you begin to experience vision or hearing loss, make sure to seek immediate medical attention since it can cause long lasting eye damage or even blindness.
